What We Do  PLCs & RTUs

A Singular Approach to PLC and RTU Programming, Design & Integration

A traditional approach to field data capture and transmission might see a different vendor or service company handling each stage of the data path — this often results in PLC/RTU system problems including lost data, irrelevant data, or one step of the data path that doesn’t communicate efficiently with the next.

Our approach to the programming, design and integration of PLC and RTU is more efficient, because we program with the same approach used for the initial design of the system.  We also introduce common data tags, helping to control and streamline the transfer and conversion of data into actionable information.

GlobaLogix provides the engineering and design, material procurement, fabrication, integration, installation and programming of local PLC and RTU panels. We also provide HMI development and programming for local screen controls and monitoring.

We provide all IEC 61131 types of programming, as well as native protocols. Our programming experience includes:

  • Structured Text
  • Ladder Logic
  • Function Block Diagram
  • Sequential Function Chart
  • Instruction List
  • ACCOL

Non-61131 programming includes:

  • “C”
  • Native ladder logic

GlobaLogix provides many types of proprietary HMI programming that are specific to various types of HMI displays used in the panels we integrate. Examples include:

  • Proface — Prodesigner
  • Maple Systems
  • Indusoft
  • Wonderware
  • Panelview

GlobaLogix has engineered and designed panels with various manufacturers of PLC and RTUs. Examples include:

  • Allen Bradley
  • Control Microsystems (SCADAPack)
  • Emerson/Fisher ROC
  • GE
  • Bristol (33xx series & ControlWave)

Our services include the development of the following:

  • Functional Specifications
  • Cause and Effect Diagrams
  • I/O lists
  • Electrical Schematics
  • Panel Layout Design
  • Communication Interface
  • Installation Loop Diagrams
  • Training
