James Hamilton, Chairman of the Board, President and CEO
Jim’s 30-plus years of experience in the energy industry includes executive positions with companies such as Schlumberger, Halliburton, American Millennium Corp., Wireless Matrix Corp., Eagle Wireless Inc., and Brown and Root. During the last decade, Jim has focused his career on providing energy operators with data management solutions that allow them to operate more efficiently, productively and cost-effectively in the oilfield.
Jim got his start in the industry working overseas, installing platforms in the North Sea. After leaving the military, Jim continued his career working with the biggest names in oilfield services including Schlumberger and Halliburton. Upon returning to the states, Jim noticed a lack of remote monitoring and automation in domestic oilfields.
Jim founded GlobaLogix in 2004 to fill a void in the industry. While certain companies provided a specific piece of the services and technologies required for gathering oilfield data and moving it to the back office, no one offered a complete spectrum of service. GlobaLogix offers comprehensive, customized services that follow customers’ data and information needs from the wellhead to the Web site. This allows operators to access the right information at the right time and make faster, better-informed decisions about their operations.
Since the company’s founding, Jim has led GlobaLogix to incredible growth. The company was recognized as the fastest growing technology company in Houston in 2008 after achieving a more than 1300 percent increase in one year in sales revenues.
Jim holds a BSc Civil Engineering , Lamar University. In addition, Jim has had several management courses at both University of Houston and Rice University.

Jim Fererro, Vice President, Sales and Business Development
Jim brings 30 years of experience in natural gas production and gas compression to his position at GlobaLogix, and has worked his entire career in oilfield services. While working for Schlumberger and Hanover Compression, he led a team that installed remote monitoring operations for customers’ compression assets. These initial projects resulted in increased production, improved run time and reduced operating costs; proving to Jim the potential remote monitoring held for improving oilfield operations. As a co-founder of GlobaLogix, Jim has now helped to create a company based on his desire to implement these benefits for energy companies facing more challenges in the oilfield than ever before.
Drawing on experience in business development working in markets in North America, Southeast Asia, Australia and West Africa, Jim plays a key role in GlobaLogix’ expansion into new regions and market segments. Additionally, Jim’s previous role as vice president of Universal Compression provided him with experience in market analysis; new market development and business implementation; all of which have helped him lead GlobaLogix to impressive growth in recent years.
Jim holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tulsa and a master’s degree from Western State in Gunnison, Colorado.

Charles Drobny Jr., Vice President, Operations
Chuck’s expertise in database system design, operations and new product launches stems from his early career experience in the marine business, where he worked with oil and gas companies to design integrated communication systems for their offshore and marine applications.
Before joining the GlobaLogix leadership team, Chuck honed his operational skills as chief operating officer of Boatracs, where he oversaw the implementation of communication and vessel management technology and software solutions for customers ranging from river towboats to offshore supply vessels and North Atlantic fishing boats.
